Raids and battles
Register a raid or a battle in game, gather your fighters in one roster and have it approved by the staff before you ride.
Faction fights are registered in game: F2 > Raid, shown to every member of a faction. The leader picks the kind of fight, the faction it is against and a few words on what is planned, then gathers the fighters. When the fight needs it, the leader submits it and the staff approve or refuse it in game; the leader is told either way. A raid is authorized only once it is approved.
The kinds of fight
| Kind | Fighters | Staff approval | War needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small Raid | up to 10 | no - authorized when submitted | no |
| Large Raid | 10 to 25 (10 to submit) | yes | no |
| Village Raid | up to 25 | yes | no |
| Settlement Capture | up to 100 a side | yes, each side | yes |
| Large-Scale Battle | more than 100 a side, or any siege | yes, each side, with a staff member supervising | yes |
The rules of each kind are shown in the window before you choose. A war means an active war between the two factions (see Authority), or one the staff have recorded.
Gathering the fighters
- Open the raid
F2 > Raid: choose the kind, the faction you face and a short description. You lead it.
- Bring people in
Invite the players near you (their faction is shown), your whole party at once, or another player's party. Members of your own faction may join without an invitation. Mercenaries may be invited too: an invitation shows in their F2 > Raid even with no faction of their own.
- One roster a side
Several groups on the same side can be merged into one raid, so everyone fighting for that side stands in one roster - for battles of a hundred and more. The leader can remove a fighter and hand the lead to another.
- Submit
Send the raid for approval once it has the fighters it needs. The staff are told at once. Fighters who join after the approval are marked as such in the roster.
The other side
The faction you face sees your raid once it is submitted and can register its defence, linked to your raid, from its own F2 > Raid. A Settlement Capture or a Large-Scale Battle is authorized only when both sides have been approved.
Keeping the roster true
A fighter who leaves their faction, or who is away from the realm for more than 30 minutes, drops out of the roster. An approved raid ends after 8 hours, one never approved after 48.
