Origins
Where your character comes from: chosen as you make them, it dresses your first steps in the realm and puts a first weapon in your hand.
The character creator's step before the town: twelve origins, each with its line, the clothes you arrive in and a simple weapon. The clothes are worn from your first moment, in place of the plain ones every newcomer gets; the torch every newcomer carries stays. The weapon is yours whether you take the tour or skip it - and the tour's end still gives its sword, shield and groschen. Nothing more: your origin is your story's first line, not a trade nor a rank - what you become is still yours to make.
