How long a skill takes
Like a trade, a skill climbs slowly: level 5 needs 3 200 experience, level 8 17 150, level 10 36 450 - over a hundred hours of the work that trains it. The crafts train at the bench a little at every piece, and the materials must be gathered or bought first.
