Businesses
Market stalls and taverns can be bought and run by a character or by a faction. Their keeper sells for you, even while you are away.
- Buy one
Shops stand in every town - dozens of them, their keeper's sign reading "Shop for sale" - and every tavern is a business too. Talk to the keeper: a shop costs 2500 groschen and a tavern 4000, from your purse or your account - or, as a faction leader, for your faction from its coffers. Up to two per character.
- Name it
Talk to your keeper > Name the shop: its name shows over the keeper and on the live map, with yours as its owner.
- Stock the counter
Talk to your keeper > Stock goods from my pack: pick anything you carry in good repair and set its price. Blades from your forge, potions from your bench, dishes from your kitchen, or anything you found.
- Let it sell
Anyone who talks to the keeper can buy from the counter. The coin waits in the till; you are told of each sale if you are in the realm.
- Run it
Change prices, take goods back, rename it, empty the till, hand it to your faction, or sell it back to the town (60% of its price and the till). A faction's business is run by its leaders, and its till goes to the coffers.
