Town supply orders
The towns buy crafted pieces in bulk - below their worth, but far better than a merchant - and pay a quarter more crafting XP for them. Carry them to the town that wants them.
- Open the orders
Anywhere: F2 > Supply orders (its badge counts your orders and the offers waiting),
/orders, the town hall clerk, or a recipe in the workbench that says N town orders want this (it opens the board filtered to that piece). After a batch, a line tells you when a town wants what you just made. - Take one
The board lists the orders of every town 600 m or more from where you stand, with the pay, the XP at your level, the town's distance, how long it holds and the town's appetite. Each town keeps four to six orders per craft, drawn from what the realm's crafters really make, mostly at their level or one below; one taken is posted again at once. Orders above your level show greyed. You hold three at most, board and offers together; there is no deposit.
- Make the pieces
Only pieces of your own make count: what you crafted (at a bench, the game's anvil, alchemy table or fire) and have not delivered yet. Gear must be in the order's condition (60 to 90% or better).
- Ride and deliver
Hand them to the town's quartermaster - its town hall clerk (or a notice board, else the market's clerk), marked on your compass. He takes them only 600 m or more from where you took the order, and no sooner than the ride (8 m a second, two minutes at least). Part deliveries pay and train for what you bring.
| Rule | |
|---|---|
| Pay | 30 to 60% of the pieces' worth (the game's price; a merchant pays 10%), less up to 10 points when the town got many of that piece this week - never more than 60% of what the pieces cost to make (their goods at their worth and the bench fee): orders soften the cost of learning, they never make a profit. |
| XP | A quarter of what the pieces gave at the bench, on top - at your level in that craft now: pieces far below your level give little. The two-crafts limit applies as at the bench. |
| Bonuses | Up to +15% pay and XP for the way (600 m to 3 km and more), and +2% an hour for an order left waiting on the board (+20% at most, marked Long waiting; such an order is kept a day longer). Both are fixed when you take it. |
| Limits | 10 orders filled a day for your account, all its characters together (an order counts at its first hand-over; the day turns at 06:00 UTC); 3 held at once; 6 taken an hour. |
| Time | Board orders hold 12 to 72 hours; an offer 2 to 4 hours, then 6 hours once accepted. Dropping an order is free: a board order goes back on its town's board as it was. |
Sell my surplus
Crafted too much while learning? In the window's third tab, tick the pieces of your own make you want rid of and send messengers (once an hour). One to three towns 600 m or more from where you stand answer within a few minutes, each with its own offer; accept one and it becomes an order to deliver there. Changing the listing while the messengers ride calls them back.
