Placing a piece

  1. Place

In My decorations, Place: the piece stands in front of you, and a bar of keys appears.

  2. Move it

The up and down arrows raise and lower it; left and right (or A and D) move it sideways; W and S forward and back; Q and E turn it. The bar sets the size of a step and of a turn, puts it back in front of you, or sets it on the ground (G).

  3. Set it down

Enter sets it here, Esc cancels. The piece stands for good, for everyone, and is put back at every start of the server.

  4. Move or pick up

Placed here > the piece: Move it again (within its own place - its house, its room, its town, its camp), or Pick up: it goes back into your decorations.

Furniture you use

PieceThe use key on it
Chairs, stools and benchesSit down.
Beds (not the cradle)Sleep, as in a home of yours (see Wounds and the infirmary).
Chests, crates, barrels and cupboardsOpen the storeroom of the house it stands in, for those who may use it (see Houses).
The restFor the eye: a candle or a brazier gives no light, a fire no warmth.

Where a piece may stand

WhereWho placesHow many
A houseWhoever holds a key to it: the owner, a spare key, the faction it is open to10, 30 for an Early Supporter, 50 for an Early Founder - by the house owner's pack
A room at the innIts renter (a numbered room or a real room upstairs)10, 30 or 50 - by the renter's pack
A town's streets and squaresIts head: the Bailiff, or the Lord where the Lord is the town's head50
Anywhere outside the townsAn Early Founder: a camp of their own20 at a time, each standing two hours, then back in their decorations

Pieces as items

A piece made at a carpenter's bench, or taken out of your decorations (As item), is an item in your pack - a carpenter's sketch with the piece's name: trade it, store it in a chest, a room or your saddlebags, hand it over. In your pack (B) it shows with its own name and picture; a double click, or its menu's Add to my decorations, puts it back. Reading it (right click) does the same.

Ordering from a carpenter

  1. Order

Catalog > the piece > Order: how many (up to 5), your price and the town it is delivered in (the nearest first). The window suggests a price - the goods, the carpenter's fee and a quarter for the work; you may offer less, down to a quarter of it. Up to 5 orders at a time.

  2. The price is held

It leaves your purse at once and waits. Cancel before a carpenter takes it and it comes back; if nobody takes it within 3 days, it comes back to your account at the moneylender.

  3. A carpenter takes it

The carpenters see the open orders on their board (the Orders tab) and take one: it shows in their journal, and they have 3 days to make the pieces and deliver them - from the Orders tab, standing in the town of delivery. Undelivered after that, the order goes back on the board.

  4. Delivered

The pieces go into your decorations, and the price into the carpenter's purse.

Buying and selling between players

My decorations > Sell: a price for each piece (1 to 100 000 groschen) and how many. The pieces leave your decorations while they are for sale; withdraw them any time. In the catalogue, Buy for X gr. takes the cheapest offer of a piece, from whoever sells it: the coins go to the seller's purse, or their bank while they are away. Up to 10 offers at a time.

With KCD Points

Buy for X KP puts the piece in your decorations at once, for 5 to 150 KCD Points by its size and its rank - most pieces 5 to 10. A piece bought with KCD Points is bound to you: placed, picked up and placed again as often as you like, but never taken out as an item, sold, or delivered for an order. The window counts your bound pieces.
