Convoys
Crates of goods carried by cart from one town's market to another's: the farther, the dearer they sell - if they get there.
- Bring a cart
A cart or wagon of yours (see Carts and wagons) standing at a market.
- Load it
Talk to the market trader > Send a convoy from here, and choose a market 600 m away at least. A two-wheeler carries 2 crates, a wagon 4, at 50 groschen each.
- Ride
The crates show on the cart and the destination on your compass. You have two hours. The word goes round the taverns of the town you leave: the roads have ears.
- Sell
Drive into the destination's market: every crate sells for its price plus 18 groschen for each kilometre it travelled, so every hour on the road pays alike, whatever the route - some 1,300 groschen an hour with a wagon, 650 with a two-wheeler, the best work in the land. Half the gain goes to the members of your party within 70 m for the escort, and all gain renown and influence. The merchants need five minutes to fill your next crates.
