Citizenship
Every town keeps a register of its citizens. Only they may buy a house in it - and the higher they rise, the less the town asks for the upkeep of what they own there.
- Register
At a town hall, talk to the clerk > Citizenship of the town: your name goes in the register for 20 groschen. You are a citizen of one town at a time - moving to another starts you again at the bottom.
- Rise
Everything you do for the town raises your standing there: your trade in the town and in the woods, mines and ponds around it, what you sell at its market, its work orders and craft orders, its contracts and town works, the war bands and brigands you drive off, the convoys and travellers you bring, the upkeep you pay there - and a little for every minute spent in it (up to 120 a day). A crime in the town costs three times what a good deed earns.
- Keep it
A town forgets the idle: a week (Monday to Monday, UTC) in which you earn less than 200 standing costs you a rank. Two weeks away, two ranks.
