Work

Gathering and the market

Woodcutters, miners, herbalists and fishers work at the places of their trade and sell to a market trader.

  1. Go to the place

A woodland has a forester, a mine an overseer, a meadow a herb-woman, a fishing spot an old fisherman. F2 > Work > My trade and skills > What do I do now shows the way to the nearest.

  2. Work

Talk to the keeper, or F2 > Work here. You stand still for a few seconds (faster as you level) and a load goes into your sack. Each place gives a dozen loads, then rests ten minutes.

  3. Carry

Your sack holds 40 loads, more with the Toil skill, and 80 more with a horse of yours nearby.

  4. Sell

Talk to a market trader (Suchdol, Kuttenberg, Miskowitz, Grund, Pschitoky, Bylany, Raborsch, Sigismund's camp...).

Buying at the market

A market also sells its goods, for the crafts: talk to the trader > Buy goods. A load costs its market price and a third more, and each load bought makes the next a little dearer. Crafters without the time to gather buy their ore, coal and herbs here.

A market that breathes

Every load sold lowers its price a little, and time brings it back. Each hour the merchants want one good above all, at +30% (/market). For fishers, one spot bites twice as well each hour (/hotspot). In a town held by a faction, 5% of the sale goes to its holder as a toll.
